French Again LA is built around a simple truth: you already know more French than you think. You just need a warm, low-stakes place to use it again.
Every weekday, a short text or voice-memo exchange keeps French part of your actual life — a word, a prompt, a memo you send back and get real feedback on. Each week, you meet live — in a cohort Zoom call or a private lesson with your host, depending on your membership. Local members also gather every other month in a private garden in Sun Valley for an immersive in-person session.
No grammar drills. No cold-calling. No tests. Just French, the way it was always meant to be — spoken, shared, and enjoyed.
Themes rotate seasonally and revisit with fresh vocabulary and depth as members advance. The full year:
I'm an experienced French teacher and educational administrator, with a Master of Science in Education and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction — and I'm currently a doctoral candidate. French Again LA grew out of a simple observation: the adults who once studied French rarely lost the language completely — they just lost the daily habit of using it, and the low-stakes place to practice.
I believe in the power of language to create exchange and connection that can lead to a better world. I'm passionate about empowering people to learn languages and experience a deeper connection with the world because of it.
That's what this is built to be. Every daily text, every voice memo, every live session — I'm the one on the other end of it. No teaching assistants, no outsourced grading. Just a real teacher who wants to see you get your French back.
